In 2012 Rebecca had just earned a bachelor’s degree in art and design from the University of Iowa and traveled West to study and master the art of makeup and special effects in Los Angeles. With technical training for makeup, prosthetics, and body painting at Cinema Makeup School, she continued to pursue a path that highlighted many of her skills in art, makeup design, film, events, and production design.

By assisting, working alongside, and learning from other professionals, she honed her own skills of technical yet whimsical makeup artistry. Being able to learn from mentors and peers has helped her grow as an fine artist. She has assisted some of the best professionals in the makeup business, including Academy Award Winner Joel Harlow, BAFTA Winner Emma Croft, Colleen Kreighton, & Sam Addington.

Rebecca loves telling stories with the use of makeup and creating characters that individually suit each project. She enjoys working with other Creators, Directors, and Performers to bring cohesion to the final result.
